Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks Making friends since 1975About us:
Since 1975, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks has created mentoring friendships that change lives. An affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the agency currently serves over 300 local children. Volunteer mentors are interviewed, screened, and trained to be the best friends they can be to children ages 6 - 14 who have been enrolled by a parent or guardian. The agency supports children, families, and mentors by providing activities and keeping in touch with the Bigs and Littles.
Our Mission:
To help children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships with measurable impact.
Our Vision:
To create successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to better schools, brighter futures, and better communities for all.
