About Us

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks

Together, We are Defenders of Potential.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks seeks to change the lives of children facing adversity for the better, forever. We work with youth in communities across Warren, Washington and northern Saratoga counties. Our mentors work with children in our community, in their schools, and many places in between.

As the nation’s largest donor-and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through 18+, in our community. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

Our Mission

Create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Our Vision

All youth achieve their full potential.

Our Goal

Our goal is to serve children with the greatest economic and academic need in the highest risk areas within our service area while not excluding any child who needs our support.

Get Involved

Whether you get involved as a donor, potential Big Brother or Big Sister, partner, advocate, or family member, you have the power to change a child’s future for the better.

Our Team

Creating a lasting, positive impact on youth by empowering them
through mentoring to help them succeed in school and in life.

Whether you get involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters as a donor, potential Big Brother or Big Sister, partner, advocate, or family member, you have the power to change a child’s future for the better.

Message from our CEO – Bill Moon

“Our agency needs to continue to evolve as we strive to meet the increased needs of our youth. We are excited to enter this transformative time in our history as we embrace the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Our new location and partnerships with Glens Falls Pediatric Consultants offers more opportunities for the community to find us and join our mission to ensure that every child has access to a mentor to help them achieve their full potential.”

Since 1975 Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks, have been transforming children’s lives and strengthening our communities.

We match children with caring adults to create one-to-one mentoring relationships that gives young people the confidence and support to set their sites higher and achieve more in life.

We believe passionately, in ensuring that children and young adults reach their full potential. And each year we help hundreds of children throughout Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties and we couldn’t do it without the support and generosity of our local communities.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks is independently owned and operated. We receive no national funding and pay affiliation dues to national Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Thanks to our donors and volunteers, for decades, we have been able to deliver lasting positive change to thousands of children’s lives.

From our multiple High School-based Programs where high school students mentor younger students in the same district, to or Bigs In Blue Program in Warren County, where law enforcement officers are matched with youth in our community to learn and witness the value of community policing and experience positive interactions. We reach across our entire community to serve children.

Our dedication to helping the community reaches beyond providing volunteer mentors, our staff serve children and their families in multiple ways – we work tirelessly to ensure that families have access to both the support and the resources they need to help eliminate the barriers of success.

Our staff actively participate in community initiatives and take the time to build a strong connection with the youths in our program and their families through monthly phone calls.

We believe in our youth and we believe in our communities.

With your continued support, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks will continue to transform young lives for the better forever.
