Exciting things are happening at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks everyday!
Just recently the agency successfully held its two largest fundraising events, Bowl For Kids' Sake and The Annual Australian Open Golf Tournament & Steak Outing . With tremendous support from the community we were able in total to raise over $100,000 for the kids!
Fundraising is a crucial force that allows our agency to flourish. 100% of funds collected stay within our community. We currently serve over 300 children in Warren, Washington and northern Saratoga Counties. National research shows that it costs $1,000 on average to support one match per year. Money that is raised assists in recruiting new Big Brother and Sister Volunteers and defrays the cost of background checks and insurance. Funds are also used to provide cultural and social activities monthly that help enrich the lives of the children served. Without our fundraising efforts we would be unable to serve the children that truly benefit from our program.
